Second Chance To Love

”Love doesn’t always last. Sometimes if we are lucky enough, it can be found again, and it remains forever.”

Showbiz couples have their ups and downs in terms of love matters. Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velaquez tied the knot last year. It was Ogie’s second marriage, but it was Regine’s first. How many showbiz couples were of the same situation, to have a second chance to love and be married again? It has happened to Sharon Cuneta, Vilma Santos, Nora Aunor and Kris Aquino, who have lost their love only to regain their hearts blissfully.

Weddings make me cry because of their promise and vow to one another to be together for better or for worst, for richer or poorer. But different situations do happen and that vow may remain as words eventually losing its very essence. The once blissful relationship may come to an end and one might not even know the true reasons why.

I believe a lost love is not the end. There will always be a second chance to love and to be cared for.

For whatever reason you have lost your love, think of others who have had their second chance to love. Is it lovelier the second time around? It must be, because as one goes through a relationship you are more mature, you can handle better one’s emotion, and most especially you know what’s best and what you like, you are sure of the traits you like, and can distinguish or predict the other’s behavior.

Here’s a very apt poem ….

A Second Chance To Love Again

by MaryGrace Patterson

Love doesn’t always last. Sometimes if we are lucky enough, it can be found again, and it remains forever (A repost with a title change)

Most are fortunate to have one true love in their lives.

For others it comes again, like a gentle breeze, caressing the tendrils of life.

Love stirs the soul, opening it to the beauty of special moments and feelings sublime.

The heart is enriched , made new, as love’s rapture encases it, holding tight, to be etched forever in tabloids of time ……..

iBlog7 Afterthoughts

by Anna Katharina on April 4, 2011

in Blogging,Events,Newsbits

It’s my second time to join iBlog. I just accompanied my kids (Jeric and Dianne) at iBlog4. I joined them at iBlog 5 (2009) because that was also the time I engaged myself in blogging seriously. We skipped iBlog 6 (2010) due to hectic work schedules.

I was absent the first day but I was glued to the live streaming broadcast of Ms Janette Toral. Though I am almost 3 years into blogging , and a few months into podcasting, I still have a lot to learn. It is a different world from what I usually do, but I have to blend with it, to keep up with the changing times.

There were only a few in the audience who were within my age bracket, was I left out or my children would say O.P (out of place)? That was my initial reason why I blog, I don’t want to be left behind, I want to be involved in what my kids are busy with. Cool mum ha!

Most of the iBlog7 attendees were young and have the capacity and time, to explore more of the Internet, like blogging, gaming and social media applications.

Anyway, iBlog7, is a wake up call for me to do better blogs, by focusing on content, being involve with the community and as a mum provide support to my kids in making their blogs and podcast appropriate to the needs of the times.

No regrets on my part that I have bought microphones for Jeric so many times when he was in the elementary grades. He had this mini karaoke and microphone as a gift when he graduated from nursery. At 19, yes, he is into what he likes, podcasting.

To the new bloggers, young or old, it’s never too late to learn the ins and outs of doing a blog. For whatever reasons on why one blogs, I just hope this is not temporary or just an outlet for the time being. As I have experienced incorporating my blogging activities with my usual work, my reasons for blogging have evolved through the years. I cannot just stop blogging and close my website for I know I have duties to fulfill to my readers, my patients and my students and that is to inform and to educate.

As always ,”I will never stop being a student “, iBog 7  is lifelong learning for me.
