“Maong” or denim clothing and T-shirts are my favorite get-up. During my college days it was the only clothes that I buy. Every month, my allowance from my “lola “ was spent in buying the latest design of a famous brand of “maong”.

My liking for “maong” or denim has never faded, but because of my work “maong “ clothes and T-shirts took a backseat as I can only wear them during off workdays.

It’s a good thing; we have one of the country’s most promising lifestyle brands – BOBSON, since 1987. Bobson offers a range of easy and relaxed casual clothing made for the laid-back lifestyle of today’s men and women. Their style includes Bobson Basic and Bobson Series II.

BOBSON Series II was launched onto the local jeans scene that created immediate following for its modified designs. The name Series II is synonymous with Edgy, Progressive and Modern. The BOBSON Series II includes an innovative denim line for ladies and men, shirts and tops designed for today’s men women

Luneta, One afternoon

One afternoon, my son and I decided to go to Luneta (Rizal Park) to stroll. I brought my backpack with cold water, an umbrella, hand towel and a camera and off we go. It was a spur of the moment decision on our part; for the plan was really to go to Fort Santiago. But because of a political rally that day somewhere in Manila, there was a monstrous traffic jam, so instead we went to Luneta.

I braised the long walk from Lapu Lapu Monument, to Rizal Monument, from the Quirino Grandstand trekking Roxas Boulevard, where we sat at the bay to watch the famous sunset at Manila Bay. We were taking pictures along the way.

I have lots of memorable times at Luneta. The only family picnic that we had as a family with my Dad and Mom happened in the place.

One of the last place that we visited as a family was also there, my kids were below 10 years old at that time and that was the last time we visited Luneta.

I remembered during my high school days with my friends, we walked the stretch of then Dewey Boulevard now Roxas Boulevard from the US Embassy to the Cultural Center of the Philippines. It was a long, long walk for us. That was more than 30 years ago and through this day, its still one of the most memorable time for my high school gang.

After the long walk, and we visited Malate Catholic Church, and had merienda at Max’s restaurant facing Manila Bay.

Try this walk one afternoon, it will bring back memories and it was great bonding time with Jeric. It not heavy on the budget, and it’s an alternative to malls.

Boysen KNOxOUT, the world’s first air cleaning paint is now available in the market. It boasts of its ability to be an arm to combat nitrogen oxides in the air we breathe.

Metro Manila is considered as the 4th most polluted city in the entire world. Aside from carbon monoxide, Oxides of Nitrogen or Nox, is one of the pollutants in the air we breathe. NOx, or nitrogen oxides, are harmful gases mostly generated from motor vehicle emissions. Trial data indicate that NOx levels in the vicinity of the Guadalupe MRT Station are at times over 200 micrograms per cubic meter — a figure that’s more than 5 times that of the World Health Organization (WHO) recommendation of 40 micrograms per cubic meter.

The Guadalupe MRT station as well as the embankment wall opposite the station along EDSA of over 6,200 sq. meters of area was painted with 740 liters Boysen KNOxOUT . Results of the trial indicate that World’s largest air cleaning Boysen KNOxOUT lowerered air pollution .

It takes about 20,000 breaths a day for a person to live. I spent at least 10 hours a day outside our home, breathing the polluted air of Metro manila, Our home is about 150 meters away from EDSA Monumeto. I Passed by the Guadalupe MRT Station at least thrice a week. That a lot of Nox inside of my lungs and body.

Surely Boysen® KNOxOUT®, offers the relief of that as an air pollution solution in a can. How does it work? KNOxOUT looks like an ordinary water based paint, it has a special ingredient – air cleaning titanium dioxide (TiO2), often referred to as a photocatalyst. When activated by light, it speeds up a chemical reaction that turns ordinary water vapor into free radicals that attack NOx and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), the two components of smog; and transform them into harmless substances.

It’s the 10th anniversary of the REPUBLIC ACT No. 8749 AN ACT PROVIDING FOR A COMPREHENSIVE AIR POLLUTION or the Clean Air Act law. The eleventh Congress passed it into law in 1999. The law enforces clean air standards for an improvement in human health and longer life spans

To raise awareness about an alternative way to do our part for the environment, the One Wall One World Campaign is launched. Let us paint the walls around our neighborhood, to help protect our community. If everyone in every community could paint one wall, we can help protect our town, our city and our world. This is the advocacy of “One wall, One world”
