Before i remember Daddy used to cook Chicken Pastel with olives(it happened one time only coz olives is so costly)..We only know of olives as green, but roaming around on different supermarkets here in Dubai, there is actually different colors green, black, yellow. It depends on what country it came from (Spain,Egypt,Chile,Morocco)They mix it also with spices or stuffing it with sweet bell pepper inside,or carrots.\but for me the best tasting olives are from Spain, they are not salty, not bitter and stuffed with sweet bell pepper..its great with feta cheese and vegie salad and best of all u can munch it alone..
